Corner Brook Seed Library

What is the seed library?

The seed library is a new partnership between the Western Environment Centre and the Corner Brook Public Library.

Starting April 22nd, 2025, we will have seeds available to the general public for free for home gardening (non-commercial) purposes.

Various kinds of vegetable and fruit seeds will be available, with an emphasis on organic, local and heirloom seeds. The limit is 10 packs of seeds per person. Patrons must also hold a valid library card.

How can I pick up seeds?

If you’d like to pick up seeds, head to the front desk of the Corner Brook Public Library on West Street, browse the catalogue stand in the front lobby near the desk, and request up to 10 packs of seeds for FREE. Make sure you have your library card with you.
