On Wednesday, June 9th at 7 pm, join us for the first workshop in our Wild Edibles Series. This first event will be an online presentation and a comprehensive introduction to some of the main principles of safe, ethical and responsible foraging.

Anne Marceau and Michael Burzynski have foraged edible wild plants and mushrooms for over 40 years in three different provinces. This photo-illustrated talk is an introduction to collecting wild foods, where to find them, how to identify them, how to avoid look-alikes, and most importantly, how to collect in a sustainable, non-damaging way. It will also include some information about cooking and preserving wild foods. Learn how to enjoy the outdoors while finding something for supper!

The workshop is free for all, however donations or memberships are highly encouraged! Visit www.wecnl.ca for more information about supporting our work.

Thanks to the provincial Community Healthy Living Fund and the Western Regional Wellness coalition for financially supporting this workshop series!
