Anne Marceau and Michael Burzynski have foraged edible wild plants and mushrooms for over 40 years in three different provinces. This photo-illustrated talk is an introduction to collecting wild foods, where to find them, how to identify them, how to avoid look-alikes, and most importantly, how to collect in a sustainable, non-damaging way. It will also include some information about cooking and preserving wild foods. Learn how to enjoy the outdoors while finding something for supper!
The workshop is $5 or free for Western Environment Centre members. WEC membership is $15/year: www.wecnl.ca/join
Payments can be sent via e-transfer to info@wecnl.ca
