Community Greenhouse Project
Project Partner: Vine Place Community Centre
In 2023 Western Environment Centre sponsored a new greenhouse build at Vine Place.
A community greenhouse is a shared community space to grow food together, a place to hold public events such as workshops and garden parties, and an opportunity to showcase environmentally friendly growing methods.
Some of the main goals of this project are to:
Increase access to community food infrastructure
Provide education to help develop food skills
Increase sustainability of our local food
